A Showcase Opportunity for YOU!

Birnbaum Interpreting Services (BIS) is seeking motivated professionals, agencies, organizations and businesses who are interested in showcasing their skills, knowledge, expertise, community service information or business promotion to audiences comprised of Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and hearing people from all over the world. As a community service effort, BIS is providing this free opportunity through TeleSign Seminars in order to share a wide variety of educational and informational topics to individuals to access this information from the comfort of their home or work.

You can provide presentations to a mass audience without cost through TeleSign Seminars. In-depth topics can range all across all areas of interest. Some examples may include things such as consumer reports, education, personal interviews, interpreting, investment, law, medicine/health care, insurance issues, community service, emergency preparedness, personal development, time management, self development skills, politics/government, real estate, research findings, technology, telecommunications, and etc. Presentations or interviews are generally between thirty to sixty minutes. Presenters can choose to provide either a live PowerPoint-supplemented presentation during the seminar (via Webinar software and limited to 15 participants) or, they can have a PowerPoint presentation sent out through e-mail to all registered participants prior to the seminar (unlimited number of participants).

With TeleSign Seminars, you will be able to share your information with Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing communities simultaneously. Through the technology of Video Relay Service (VRS), Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals can present or attend from home or work without any need to travel and without cost! To provide access to individuals using sign language, a team of VRS interpreters will connect Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals who register in advance to the seminar. Presenters may be Deaf, Hard of Hearing or Hearing individuals and they may provide presentations through sign language or voice. The seminar will be broadcast live to all individuals registered and connecting to the call.

Getting the word out to the Deaf/Hard of Hearing/Hearing community as well as the hearing community can be of tremendous benefit to you and/or your company/organization. BIS believes strongly in the principle of accessible professional development for all individuals including the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Hearing communities through this unique setting. If you are interested in giving presentations or one-on-one interviews, please contact hostservices@telesignseminars.com.
